Nancy Giles Takes a Break from the News—and Picks Up a Ukulele—on Her New Podcast

Emmy Award-winning journalist, commentator, and actress Nancy Giles Launches Season Two of The Giles Files on the Hurrdat Media Network

New York, NY (November 3, 2021) — From walking the hospital hallways on China Beach to the award-winning hallways of CBS News Sunday Morning, Nancy Giles has done it all—and now she’s adding podcast host to her already impressive resume.

The Emmy Award-winning commentator launched her podcast The Giles Files during the height of the pandemic in summer 2020 to help people “take a break from the news and the noise,” and now she’s set to launch season two on the Hurrdat Media Network.

The Giles Files is an eclectic break from the news in a fast-and-furious format that takes a deep dive into “what’s up” through interviews, commentaries, song parodies, and more. You’ll probably even hear a ukulele from time to time.

Season two of The Giles Files begins with “Man with a Gavel” and an interview with Judge Nelson Johnson. Listen as Giles explores Judge Nelson’s writing process and inspiration behind the book that would become an award-winning drama produced by Martin Scorsese and screenwriter Terence Winter.

“I’m thrilled to be working with the cool folks at Hurrdat Media!” said Giles, “They’ve been so supportive and oh-so groovy! They share our vibe; they’re fun and funky like me.”
