Kelly Horn

At Nebraska Cancer Specialists (NCS), we never lose sight of the reason we are here. I know that every conversation, project, or task is ultimately affecting patient care in some way. I love working for a practice that is doing the right things the right way, providing education, resources, treatment, and research. I began my career working in marketing and business development for local and national insurance firms and the financial services industry before moving to healthcare.

My experience in insurance gave me a broad understanding of how the healthcare system worked but moving to the other side of the desk and working for private practice physicians gave me a completely different perspective. At NCS, I am responsible for the overall marketing strategy and community involvement while connecting area physicians and providers to our community oncologists. I love helping our physicians grow their practice and connecting them with patients that need their services.

When I’m not promoting the best community oncology practice in the region, I enjoy spending time with my two kids and two dogs, entertaining family and friends, cooking, wine tasting, watching Husker football, and traveling, specifically to Vail, Colorado and Scottsdale. We think this podcast series provides another great way for patients to receive education and learn about oncology. We find our patients enjoy listening to the episodes to learn something they didn’t know or provide further information on a topic or type of cancer.
