Nancy Giles is a 4 time Emmy Award-winning contributor to the renowned “CBS News Sunday Morning,” earning an additional 2 Gracie Awards (from the Alliance of Women in Media) and 2 Wilbur Awards (from the Religion Communicators Council). A Theatre World Award winner for her off-Broadway stage work, She toured with Chicago’s famed Second City improv troupe, and co-starred on the acclaimed ABC television series “China Beach.” She was also the announcer and a co-host of the cult favorite “Fox After Breakfast” with Tom Bergeron. Her radio chops include CBS Radio’s “Giles & Moriarty on Philadelphia’s talk radio WPHT (with CBS News correspondent Erin Moriarty, winner of 2 more Gracie Awards), and a morning drive stint on New York’s Jammin’ 105 (as Jay Thomas’ “Morning Show” sidekick.)Her film work includes “Working Girl,” “Big,” Clint Eastwood’s “True Crime” and Woody Allen’s “New York Stories” and “Irrational Man.” She’s written and performed four solo shows and has an active public speaking career. Giles has been a regular guest on MSNBC’s “All In with Chris Hayes,” “The Beat with Ari Melber,” and “The Last Word with Lawrence O’Donnell.” Proof that people want to hear what she has to say.
Giles and Emmy Award-winning CBS News producer/editor Nancy Wyatt created “The Giles Files Podcast,” mixing interviews with (among others) comedian Lewis Black, “The View’s” Joy Behar, and Washington Post columnist Jonathan Capehart with a cocktail party vibe of parody songs, social commentaries and history with a musical beat.
